My experiences as an educator in the Lowcountry as well as the Upstate of South Carolina has blessed me with the unique opportunity to work with students and teachers from diverse economic and social backgrounds.
As a result, I focus on the "whole" teacher by building relationships in addition to addressing professional needs. I create a safe, risk free environment that supports teachers as they begin to internalize their new learning through individual and group reflection. These opportunities to engage in reflective dialogue in a supportive and caring environment encourage teachers to take ownership of their own professional learning and the learning of their students.
